Don't be a Unicorn
Overview
BranditGuru is in search of a new look and concept that will help it stand out and elevate itself from competitors. For this project, I was given free rein, and so I endeavored to push my abilities to the maximum to create a functional and unique brand kit that would allow for unparalleled marketing materials to be brought to life. BiG wanted to highlight its English heritage and desired something visually striking and out of the ordinary. Upon recently arriving in London and being completely captivated, I decided to create a stylized version of the city and use it as the iconography for the communication.
Imagery and Style Guide
To align with BiG's requests, I opt for extremely vibrant colors to make the agency's brand even more recognizable, complemented by modern fonts. The chosen font is Ubuntu: a simple and linear font taken from the Google Fonts library. Given that the overall graphic communication is rich in detail, I thought it made sense to use a simple, clean, and fuss-free font.
Motion Graphic and AD
Once the basic brand kit was created, I then crafted a video that brought BranditGuru's values to life. For the video AD creation, I conducted a brainstorming session with the team and developed a script, sketching out the main keyframes. Once approved, I dove headfirst into After Effects, and within 2 weeks, I was able to produce the AD videos below. Since the main theme of the video revolves around a horse wanting to become a unicorn to stand out from the crowd, I seized the opportunity to create static adverts and social media iconography that embody the same concept. Awwward: Site of the Day
After launching the new branding and key communication assets, I focused on designing the website, which subsequently won a nomination as Site of the Day in 2016.
